Old Meets New
ADDITION AND RENOVATION
The clients purchased the property largely because of the site—two acres, a pond, and a great view. While the historic Cape Cod home had cozy bedrooms for the clients and their children, they wanted an addition that would become the primary living space and take advantage of the view. Having grown up in a mid-century modern house designed by one of the client’s architect fathers, she wanted to live in a space that looked and felt like the one she grew up in. While the exterior of the finished project might seem jarring to some, the visual flow from the old sections of the home into the new space flows smoothly.
